WorldRemit payment methods: debit card, credit card and bank transfer options

The payment methods you can use on WorldRemit depend on the country where your account is registered. WorldRemit also says it no longer accepts Google Pay. Not every method is offered everywhere, so check the screen when you create the transfer.

Which cards work

WorldRemit says it can accept most debit, credit and prepaid cards issued by Visa or Mastercard. It says it cannot accept cards from Amex, Diners Club or UnionPay.

Pay with your own card

WorldRemit says the money you send must come from your own card. As a regulated company it needs to know the source of the funds, so you cannot pay with someone else's card.

Extra fees to watch for

WorldRemit says paying by debit card usually has no extra fees beyond those shown when you pay, with some exceptions:

Those charges come from your card issuer, not WorldRemit. For how the transfer fee and rate are shown, read WorldRemit fees.

Why a card may be declined

WorldRemit says it cannot see the reason for a declined card payment. It suggests you contact your card issuer's payments or authorisation department, who can explain it.

Bank transfer or card?

A card payment is simple and quick. A bank transfer sends money from your bank account to WorldRemit. The bank transfer guide covers the details a bank payout needs. Whichever you choose, compare what your recipient receives before you pay.
